BEFORE YOUR TRIP
If you are preparing a trip to Mallorca, you should know that, due to the COVID-19 health crisis, it is mandatory to fill in a Health Control Form which can be accessed from the page: spth.gob.es. From 48 HOURS before the trip you can send the form to the health authorities. Once sent, you will receive an email with a QR code that will allow you to access the destination airport. You must have it printed out or on your mobile phone.

Face masks are mandatory in all public areas in the Balearic Islands, regardless of social distancing, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Face masks are not required at swimming pools, on the beach or whilst eating or drinking at a bar or restaurant.
It is recommended to make advance online bookings and pay by card or via mobile apps.
TRANSPORT IN MALLORCA: WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE?
Public and private transport is working completely normally. Be sure to follow the instructions and protection measures of each service provider.
Vehicle with driver: will pick you up at the arrivals gate or at the meeting point, with a prior reservation. Obligatory with face mask
Own vehicle: if you prefer to move at your leisure, you can rent a vehicle and pick up the keys at the corresponding rent a car office.
Taxi: you can travel with up to 3 members of your own family or 2 people who do not live in the same house.
Bus to Calvià: The A11 will bring you to our municipality https://www.tib.org/es/web/ctm/autobus/linia/A11. Obligatory with face mask. HOTELS AND TOURIST APARTMENTS: CAN I USE COMMUNAL AREAS, SWIMMING POOLS, BAR, GYM ... ETC?
You will be given information on use and safety measures established in each property for carrying out activities, eating in the restaurants or having health care telephone numbers, and the hotel staff will keep you informed of any new developments.
There will be points with disinfectant solution so that you can protect yourself at all times, remember to also protect minors accompanying you. In the case of sharing lifts, stairs or bathrooms, avoid touching buttons, door handles, railings and other commonly used surfaces.
The communal areas are open to 75% capacity – swimming pools, gyms, etc. They may have specific rules which allow for distancing, time of use and hygiene of the elements of communal use.
If you carry out collective or group activities, such as entertainment activities, groups should consist of 25 people maximum. Avoid contact exercises and try to maintain social distancing. Contact the establishment, also, to receive information about beach towels.
In the restaurant there will be protocol regulations to protect both diners and the food. Try to follow the instructions of the staff attending you. You can sit with your family, even with friends, up to a maximum of 25 people at group tables, with a prior reservation.
The mini-clubs may have some restrictions, therefore we recommend you contact your accommodation directly. They are usually intended for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18, and to guarantee the current safety regulations, groups of maximum 20 participants will be formed with two monitors, and without contact with other groups. The use of communal areas will be done in turns. The activities can be organised outdoors or in covered areas with constant ventilation, and with a maximum of 100 participants.
CAN I GO ON SIGHTSEEING TOURS, EXCURSIONS OR TO THE LIBRARY?
The main tourist resources of Mallorca are open to the public and can be visited. For specific information about opening hours and conditions, you should access the website of the place of interest. We recommend that you book in advance and prioritise payment by card or mobile apps.
Public and private spaces will have visible signs at the entrances, and their staff will give you specific indications of distancing, capacity and access to services. In libraries you can request to borrow material and occupy space in the study room up to 75% of the capacity.
If you are going on a guided tour, the maximum size of groups is of 30 people. Avoid shaking hands, follow the guide’s instructions at all times, and take preventive measures both indoors and outdoors, whilst using transport, also. It is recommended to avoid crowded places.
CAN I PRACTICE OUTDOOR SPORTS, IN NAUTICAL FACILITIES AND SWIMMING POOLS?
Yes, it will be possible to carry out sports activity individually or in groups up to a maximum of 30 people without physical contact, and 20 people with physical contact in sports facilities, but never exceeding 75% of the maximum capacity. You must also maintain a distance of 1.5 metres. In active tourism activities, groups can be of up to 40 people.
Please, whenever possible, opt for telematic management of reservations, payment and customer service, so you will be informed in advance of the measures of use and access. Once in the facility, follow the instructions of the sports centre, yacht club, natural area or water facility and maintain social distancing.
If you are a professional athlete , you can practice sports with up to 20 people in sports centres which allow a maximum capacity of 75%. You can also use the changing rooms for a limited period. Sporting competitions, with restrictions, will also be allowed soon, with the prior permission from the island’s sports authorities. Your supplier will inform you about this.
You can use the necessary sports equipment, as long as the staff of the establishment or the service provider hands it over disinfected.
In the natural parks, sitting at the tables in the recreational areas is permitted.
CAN I VISIT THE BEACHES AND COVES?
Yes, the beaches and coves are open to the public, with some limitations.
At the entrances you will find signs with information on hygiene and prevention rules.
There may be a capacity limitation, both on the beach and in the nearby car park, and a distance of 1.5 metres between your belongings on the sand and those of the other bathers is obligatory.
Keep a 6 metre distance between the shoreline and the sand completely free of towels and maintain the 1.5 metres social distancing.
Practice sport individually or in pairs, and without physical contact. Groups of up to a maximum of 25 people are allowed.

CAN I GO TO HEALTH RESORTS, POOLS, JACUZZIS, SAUNAS, SPAS AND WATER PLAY AREAS?
Scientific authorities suggest that the use of chlorine in water could inactivate the virus and therefore avoid the risk of contamination during bathing.
Follow the instructions of the staff, in order to comply with the capacity and length of stay. Avoid crowds in communal areas and allow the disinfection of shared elements that you must use to enjoy the installation.
CAN I GO TO RESTAURANTS, BARS OR CAFES?
Yes, the bars, restaurants and cafes are open during the usual hours. Inside the premises and on the terraces, there will be separations between tables and a maximum capacity of 75%. Sitting at the bar is also permitted, provided that there is a minimum separation of 1.5 metres between customers or groups of customers. The maximum occupation will be 25 people per table or group of tables, always respecting the minimum safety distance.
In any event, self-service products will be completely removed, prioritising disposable mono doses or other service formats.
Posters will be displayed informing the customer of the hygiene and disinfection guidelines. The waiters will assist you on arrival and will indicate the table that you must occupy both inside and outside. You may find well-defined spaces or elements that mark the distance.
If you go to a buffet service, there will be protective screens and the plating will be done individually.
WILL THE OUTDOOR MARKETS BE OPEN?
Yes, the municipalities will provide the most suitable spaces for you to enjoy the experience better. The limitation of the number of customers will be maintained, so as to ensure that 1.5 metres social distancing is respected. Customers are not allowed to handle the products on sale.
WHERE CAN I BUY MASKS AND SANITISING OR HYGIENE PRODUCTS?
In any pharmacy. The unit sale of surgical masks that are not individually packaged can only be made in pharmacies guaranteeing adequate hygiene conditions that safeguard the quality of the product. Prices are regulated by law. Otherwise, you can also buy the products in large stores. Here, you have a list of pharmacies open in Mallorca.
CAN I GO SHOPPING?
Yes, the shops and shopping centres are open during the usual hours, with a maximum capacity that will be indicated on the door of each establishment and that is adapted to the space to guarantee your safety and movement inside. If there are communal areas, the capacity is limited to 50%. Remember to maintain social distancing.
CAN I GO TO THE CINEMA, THEATRE, CIRCUS OR LIBRARIES, OR VISIT MUSEUMS AND EXHIBITION HALLS?
Yes, they will be open during their usual hours with a 75% capacity. Check the times. It is recommended that you book in advance and prioritise payments by card or mobile apps. Cinemas may pre-allocate seats.
Information will be provided on how to move around to avoid crowds, both inside and in the ticket sales area.
Visits to museums, exhibition halls and monuments may be made by groups of up to 25 people, provided that the interpersonal security distance of 1.5 metres is maintained.
CAN I GO TO CASINOS, GAMBLING HALLS, BETTING SHOPS OR SIMILAR?
Yes, it is allowed, with the capacity limited to two thirds of the normal. You can also access their cafeterias and bars with a maximum occupation of up to 75% of their capacity. Follow the rules of prevention and social distancing.
CAN I ATTEND LARGE SHOWS OR SPORTS ACTIVITIES, POPULAR FESTIVALS AND FAIRGROUND ATTRACTIONS?
Yes, you can go to enclosed areas with a capacity of up to 300 people seated, and in outdoor areas, up to 1000 people.
Popular festivals and events are permitted from 1st July. It is compulsory to wear a mask if you cannot keep a social distance of 1.5 metres. Follow the safety instructions indicated by the supplier when using fairground attractions, to avoid crowding and maintain safe social distancing.
CAN I GO TO MASS OR VISIT CHURCHES?
Yes, access to places of worship is permitted, with a maximum of 75% occupation.
CAN I GO TO WEDDINGS AND CELEBRATE?
Yes, weddings can be held in all kinds of installations, both indoors and outdoors, as long as they do not exceed 75% of the capacity. The maximum capacity will be up to 250 people in outdoor spaces or 150 people in enclosed areas.
CAN I PARTICIPATE IN CONGRESSES, SEMINARS OR BUSINESS MEETINGS?
Yes, you can attend congresses, auditoriums, meetings, business meetings and conferences with a maximum of 150 attendees or 75% capacity.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF VIRUS-ASSOCIATED SYMPTOMS APPEAR?
Stay in your accommodation, and call 902 079079 or 971 437079 in case of cough, fever or tiredness, and 061 in case of an emergency, and wait for instructions. Think that staying in your accommodation helps contain the virus. When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with the inner part of your bent elbow.
DOES MALLORCA HAVE SUFFICIENT HOSPITALS AND HEALTH CENTRES?
Yes, if you have any health problems, you can go to 4 national health hospitals and 2 public-private hospitals. Mallorca has more than 10 private hospitals with their emergency departments spread across the island. There are more than 45 national health centres and 86 basic national health surgeries distributed throughout all the island’s municipalities.
