Vells II)\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_column_text]\u201cEl Mago\u201d beach (Mallorca) is nine kilometres from Magaluf<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 and forms part of \u201cCala Portals Vells<\/b><\/a>,\u201d a sea inlet between the \u201cPunta des Xisclet\u201d and \u201cs’Estaca,\u201d which is divided into several \u201cveins\u201d which end in this sandy area.<\/p>\n

It is a natural area of great beauty. Crystal clear, calm waters in this small, beautiful beach of fine white grain.<\/p>\n

The place name of \u201cEl Mago\u201d<\/b> (The Magician) has been used since 1967 to name this beach, since in that year the film “THE MAGUS”<\/b><\/a> starring Anthony Quinn and Michael Caine was shot on this beach. On its slope there are still remains of the scenery, which separate the two little beaches that make up this sandy area.<\/p>\n

In addition, the \u201cEl Mago\u201d beach is also known for being the first beach officially declared as nudist<\/strong> <\/a>(nudista) in the municipality of Calvi\u00e0, a category currently shared with \u201cCal\u00f3 des Monjo<\/b><\/a>\u201d (Cala Fornells)<\/p>\n

Access to the \u201cEl Mago\u201d beach by road is easy by just following the road signs. You must pass Magaluf and continue in the direction of Son Ferrer. 1.5 km before reaching this town, you must follow the signs indicating the road to \u201cPortals Vells.\u00a0The beach has free parking nearby.<\/p>\n

The conditions for anchoring boats and snorkelling are excellent. This beach, open to east and southeast winds, has a sandy bottom and seaweed at a depth of five meters. You can check the nearby ports, here<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
