Caleta)\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_column_text]The spectacular Portals Vells Beach \u2013 Mallorca, or \u201cSa Caleta\u201d is a natural environment of incredible beauty and scenic interest.<\/p>\n

This natural wonder is nine kilometres from the Magaluf<\/b><\/a> area. It is a sea inlet, between the points of \u201cXisclet\u201d and \u201cs’Estaca,\u201d which is divided into several \u201cveins\u201d that end in this sandy area in which there are three beaches, \u201cPortals Vells,\u201d \u201cEl Mago beach<\/b><\/a>\u201d and \u201cEl Rey beach<\/b><\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

A leafy pine forest surrounds this beautiful beach which is created between caves, cliffs & sea inlets. The woodland stretches between \u201cCap de Cala Figuera\u201d and \u201cRefaubetx,\u201d which together with \u201cIslote de El Toro,\u201d form part of the catalogue of Natural Areas of Special Interest<\/strong><\/a> approved by the Parliament of the Balearic Islands and the European Union’s Special Protection Areas for Birds.<\/p>\n

In the vicinity of the beach there are many points of scenic interest, among which the “La Cova de La Mare de Deu<\/b><\/a>\u201d stands out.<\/p>\n

Ancient \u201cmares\u201d quarry, whose stone blocks, extracted in the 14th and 15th centuries, were used to build the Palma cathedral and the church of Santa Eul\u00e0lia.<\/p>\n

Access to Portals Vells beach by road is easy by just following the road signs. You must pass Magaluf and continue in the direction of Son Ferrer. 1.5 km before reaching this town, you must follow the signs that indicate the road to Portals Vells. The beach has free parking nearby. From here you will reach \u201cSa Caleta\u201d on foot.<\/p>\n

The conditions for anchoring boats and snorkelling are excellent. This beach, open to east and southeast winds, has a sandy bottom and seaweed at a depth of five meters. You can check the nearby ports, here<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
