Information Es Capdellà
About 3 km from Calvià Vila we find Es Capdellà, a small town in Calvià whose name comes from the glutinous spelling of “es cap d’allá” which means the last extreme or furthest away. This inland town has an impressive natural environment that invites visitors to take routes around its surroundings or venture into the large Galatzó public estate.
Es Capdellà is immersed in a silent area and is made up of picturesque scattered houses and a recently built church. In its surroundings there are some important estates and large rural estates, such as Son Vic Nou y Vell, Son Martí, Galatzó and Ses Algorfes, among others.
From here you can go to Andratx, Peguera or Galilea, and on foot you can reach Calvià Vila in a pleasant walk, through natural landscapes.
The town originated at the end of the 17th century, when some day laborers settled in the possessions near the crossroads of the Peguera, Andratx-Calvià and Galatzó roads. The last path leads to the valley and the houses of Galatzó.
