Costa d'en Blanes beach
Beach located in the area of Portals Nous (Calvià), to be precise, between “Punta Negra” and “Puerto Portals,”right next to the entrance to the “Marineland” Dolphinarium (delfinarium Marineland).
It is a small, coarse-grained, gold coloured sandy beach which adjoins different facilities (“Puerto Portals”, “Marineland” Dolphinarium, Sporting Club Portals).
The beach has a rocky inlet on its western side; behind these rocks is a quieter area.
This beach can be reached by private vehicle from Palma via the “Costa d’en Blanes” turnoff or from Palmanova, passing through Son Caliu. This beach can also be reached by public transport. The “Marineland” stop is across the road.
The area has multiple parking options.
Marine and underwater conditions are optimal for anchoring a boat. It is common for boats to anchor two hectometres from the outer harbour of the bordering Puerto Portals, where the seabed consists of sand and seaweed, at a depth of between three and five metres.
Barely a kilometre away is Puerto Portals, one of the best maritime infrastructures in the Balearic archipelago, as well as in Europe.
In the vicinity of the beach is the “Paseo Calvià,” a beautiful pedestrian path that connects all the towns of Calvià. You can start a walk towards Palmanova – Magaluf, or in the direction of Portals Nous, Bendinat.
