The “Oratori” beach (Portals Nous) or “Cala Portals” is 11 kilometres from Palma, situated between the eastern breakwater of Puerto Portals & Bendinat.. This medium sized beach is characterised by its fine, brown grain. From its shore, you can see the beautiful, green “Illa d’en Salas.”

This is a spectacular beach where beach sports such as beach volleyball or beach football are practised.

Coming from Palma on the motorway which connects Palma and Andratx, we must take the “Costa d’en Blanes” turnoff. From there, we head towards Puerto Portals. The beach can be accessed from the end of the port. Public transport can also be used. The bus stops beside this beach.

The best option for anchoring a vessel is between the islet and the beach. In this area there is a sand and seaweed seabed, at a depth of three metres. On the eastern side of the “Oratori” of Portals beach (playa de l’Oratori de Portals) there are some visible, emerging rocks, which should be avoided.

Alongside this beautiful beach is Puerto Portals, one of the best maritime infrastructures of the Balearic archipelago and in the whole of Europe. Visitors will be delighted to see some of the most beautiful boats that sail the waters of the Mediterranean. At the same time, this area is home to several of the best restaurants in the Balearic Islands. Also bars, shops and exclusive nightclubs.
