Magaluf beach
The Magaluf beach (Mallorca) is a large sandy area that is integrated, by means of a beautiful beach promenade, into the urban landscape of the town that gives it its name, Magaluf, one of the main tourist resorts in the world.
It is a wide sandy area, over 1 km. long, with a beautiful entrance to the sea from which you can see the small island of “Sa Porrassa” in the centre.
Magaluf is one of the most complete beaches in Mallorca, as in addition to having the basic services (lifeguards, walkways, showers, parasols and sunbeds, etc.) it also has a wide range of water sports, gastronomy, beach clubs, day and night-time leisure, tourist accommodation, etc.
This beach is one of the young people’s favourites, both locals and tourists alike, due to the wide range of sports, leisure and gastronomy in the area.
Marine and underwater conditions
The northern part of the beach is open to the east and south-east winds, allowing boats to anchor on a bed of sand and seaweed at a depth of between two and five metres. The “Islote de sa Porrassa” (small island of sa Porrassa) provides some protection if the wind blows from the east, although there is a rocky bank to the northwest, on the route from Palmanova to Magaluf. Near this beach (1,6 nautical miles away) you can find the Palmanova marina (Club Nàutic Palmanova).
