Torà Beach (Peguera – Mallorca) is an ideal choice to enjoy the beach as a family.
Peguera Torà, is characterised by the width of its sandy area and the unobstructed views of the Bay of Peguera. Its location is perfect, situated at the beginning of the town’s Boulevard, flanked by promenades and a spacious open-air square.
It is an urban beach with calm waters and a gentle slope. It has a pine forest area, ideal for people who appreciate some natural shade.
This is a magnificent beach option to enjoy with the family, because it is spacious, shady, close to a service area (restaurants, shopping, accommodation, leisure, culture and sport), and above all, connected to the other two large beaches in the town – La Romana and Palmira. In addition, Torà beach has all the basic services that you could possibly need on a beach day: lifeguards, showers, toilets, pedalo rental, walkways, etc.
The beach is closely linked to one of the most important sporting events not only in the municipality of Calvià, but also in the whole of the island of Mallorca – the medium distance triathlon Challenge Peguera Mallorca. The beach is home to the swimming circuit of the event and the main points of the event are installed in its vicinity: transition zone, running circuit and the finish line. Year after year, between the 2nd and 3rd week of October, Peguera becomes the headquarters of the international triathlon with the dispute of this event.
Access by road is easy. Coming from Palma, we must take the first exit that indicates the Area of Peguera and La Romana. In the vicinity of the beach, just as we enter the town, we will find different options for free parking in the area. It is also possible to come via public transport, with the bus stopping nearby, at the beginning of the Boulevard of Peguera.
The nearest port facility is the Santa Ponça marina (Club Nàutic Santa Ponça) which is two nautical miles away.
